El Lodge is located in Monachil, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada ski resort in the province of Granada, in Andalusia, Spain. The southernmost ski resort in Europe offers visitors five-star facilities with more than 100 km of pistes, an enviable climate and a top leisure and après-ski ambiance. Sierra Nevada is only 33 km from historic Granada, world-famous for the Alhambra, and 43 km from Granada International Airport. Malaga’s high speed train station and airport are a 2-hour drive from the hotel, as are the famous beaches of the Costa del Sol. Looking to escape for some much-needed relaxation? El Lodge is a boutique winter-hotel owned by the Marbella Club with a relaxed modern vibe on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada ski resort. It was rebuilt for winter 2015/16 after a fire destroyed its first incarnation in 2013. The hotel is built in Finnish wood with interior decoration by Andrew Martin and has a comfortable, modern, and quirky style…cowhide rug; antler chandeliers; lamps made from Campari Soda bottles and the rest is for you to explore. The lounge has a country house feel, with twists like an Eighties games console. The whole effect is complemented by funky music from Marbella Club. Enjoy the extraordinary climate in the Sierra Nevada hotel, sip signature cocktails on The Sun Deck or enjoy long walks exploring the wonders of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Where to go: The Sierra Nevada mountains offer an extraordinary nature ready to explore with your dog.

Allowed areas: Dogs are welcome in the outdoor public areas as well as indoor, except for restaurants, bars, and breakfast area. Dogs must always be kept on a leash in the hotel premises.

Size n’ shape: Small dogs up to 7kg are welcome at El Lodge. Yes, this excludes 90% of all breeds, but we still like the fact that they welcome dogs.

Room amenities: No amenities - you need to bring your own bed, bowls, food, and toys.

Great for: Shorter stays as dogs are mainly to be kept in your room and outside the hotel premises.

Accommodation fee: Dogs are free of charge…awesome!

Dog loving or friendly? Dog Friendly… for sure.

Other? Dogs are not allowed to be left alone in your room in a longer period.

If you ask us: Make sure your dog is trained, well behaved, calm and travel-savvy when bring him/her to a hotel stay. For the stress-free experience.

Last tip: To avoid unpleasant surprises for both your dog and the hotel staff, always use the “Do not disturb” sign when leaving your dog alone in the room, even for 5 minutes.
