The Winery Hotel, located just outside Stockholm's centre, is Sweden’s first combined urban winery and boutique hotel. Immediately when entering the hotel, you will notice that wine is the focal point of the hotel’s concept. In the lobby you will see a view of the brewery itself, where you can get a guided tour on winemaking process. The tastefully decorated lobby’s area exudes atmosphere and love to the wine culture. The hotel’s exterior with its industrial feel combined with the rural decor creates a nice contrast between the romantic and the urban styles. The Winery Kitchen is the hotel's restaurant, where the food is created so that the taste is adapted to the wine. As the hotel's vineyard is located in Tuscany, the menu and décor are inspired by Northern Italy. All rooms have soundproofed windows that go from floor to ceiling as the hotel is close to busy roads. On the rooftop of there is a lovely and small heated pool. The pool is open all year round and here you enjoy a relaxing time after a busy day while overlooking the urban views of the city.

Where to go: Although the hotel has plenty of green nature areas close by, the major highways that surround the hotel are very dominant in the landscape. You need to find the walkways under the highways to get to the larger green areas. If you are an active exerciser, you will find a 12 km walk around the lake, which is just 5 minutes walking distance from The Winery Hotel.

Allowed areas: Dogs are welcome in the most areas of the hotel; In the large lobby area including the bar and in the restaurant for the breakfast (it must be agreed with reception in advance). You can bring your dogs to the rooftop pool area, but they are not allowed in the pool itself.

Size n’ shape: All sizes are welcome and up to two dogs are allowed per room.

Room amenities: A small bowl was prepared in the room when we arrived.

Accommodation fee: The daily rate is 300SEK / 29€ per dog.

Dog loving or friendly? Our dogs definitely felt welcome in the hotel. Most of the staff were curious and kind and wanted to talk to them. Also, most of the guests were positive to meet dogs in the lobby and in the restaurant during breakfast.

If you ask us: Make sure your dog is trained, well behaved, calm and travel-savvy when bring him/her to a hotel stay. For the stress-free experience.

Last tip: To avoid unpleasant surprises for both your dog and the hotel staff, always use the “Do not disturb” sign when leaving your dog alone in the room, even for 5 minutes.

Food & Wine: At The Winery Hotel, there are two restaurants, one wine bar, and a summer rooftop bar. Winery Kitchen is the main restaurant with a more traditional lunch menu and a specific focus on wine and food pairings in the evenings, for dinner. Terreno Deli is our Italian trattoria with a menu inspired by the Tuscan cuisine. In the hotel lobby, in front of the winery, the wine bar Winemakers bar is located, and in the summer you can enjoy a glass of wine on the beautiful rooftop. Winery Rooftop Terrace serve both wine and Italian streetfood with a view over the lake and the rooftops.

Rooftop terrace: The Winery Rooftop Terrace is The Winery Hotel's rooftop Summer bar located on the sixth floor. Perfect for a relaxing afternoon high above the city. The Winery Rooftop Terrace has been listed as one of the world's best hotel rooftops both in Vogue and Forbes Magazine. Free access to the rooftop pool and to the hotels gym.
