Welcome to beautiful Sweden! With extraordinary landscapes and plenty of open spaces, it is a true pleasure for travellers and their dogs to get their daily exercise when going to Sweden. In general, Sweden is a pet-friendly country, and it is a great place to bring your dog as strong animal rights legislation exists, and pets are generally very well looked after and valued family members that can't be left behind. While many European countries allow dogs to dine inside at restaurants, this is generally not the case in Sweden. However, there is often no issues with dining at outdoor tables with our dog. In addition to the usual steps for transporting your dog to an EU country (microchip, rabies vaccine, pet passport or EU health certificate, etc), please note that extra customs requirements may apply when bringing your pet over the border into Sweden. Always check the requirements for each country including any paperwork and vaccinations needed in advance of your departure.
